Five additional suspects were detained in and around Paris, including a main suspect whose DNA linked him to the seven-minute Louvre gallery break-in on October 19. Thieves used a truck with a moving lift and cutting gear to enter a first-floor gallery and fled with jewellery valued at about $102 million. No loot has been recovered. Two other suspects were charged with theft and criminal conspiracy after partially admitting the charges and were placed in pre-trial detention. One charged suspect was identified via DNA on a scooter and another is an unlicensed taxi driver from Aubervilliers.
