Blake Snell makes vow if Dodgers force World Series to Game 7
""I'm thankful for the first start and what I was able to learn and how much better I got from that. Beyond excited that I have another opportunity tomorrow to really display the kind of pitcher that I am and that I'm striving to be,""
""I really can't wait for it. I'm so excited. You want to contribute and when we're winning and we're in the World Series, there's no better moment than right now.""
""Vlad, he's a really good hitter, so you've got to do stuff there. But the rest of the lineup, yeah, they were ambushing,""
Blake Snell labored in Game 1 at Rogers Centre, giving up eight hits, five runs and three walks while striking out four over five-plus innings. Snell lacked fastball command and exited with the bases loaded; all three runners scored while Emmet Sheehan was on the mound. The Dodgers lost Game 1, won Game 2, and now face elimination unless they win Game 6 at Rogers Centre. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start Game 6, and Snell could have an opportunity to pitch again if the series reaches Game 7. Snell expressed appreciation for learning from earlier starts and eagerness for another chance.
