"We thought about a couple of different phrases and operating system just really resonated with us. It's a true system of operations," Canva co-founder Cameron Adams told The Verge."
"With that confusion out of the way, here are some changes that users will actually notice. Canva has redesigned its video editor to make it easier to use without experienced editing skills, adding a new template library and a simplified timeline for trimming, syncing, and layering footage. Canva introduced new digital marketing and video-editing tools built around a design-focused AI model as part of an overhaul to its Visual Suite workplace products. The offering is framed as a "Creative Operating System" that unites task-specific tools, the AI that powers them, and the platform interface. The video editor was redesigned with templates and a simplified timeline for non-experts. A Forms feature allows feedback to be imported directly into Canva Sheets. Canva Grow enables marketers to design, launch, and track ad campaigns with AI that learns from performance. An Email Design product creates branded emails without coding.
