A male pedestrian in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene after an accident involving a truck at about 1.45am. His body was removed to Dublin City Mortuary for a post-mortem examination and the coroner has been notified. Garda forensic collision investigators examined the scene and reopened the road. Gardaí asked anyone who captured images or footage to refrain from sharing on social media and to provide material to investigating gardaí, and requested dash-cam footage from road users in the area between 1.30am and 2am. A separate single-vehicle collision in Donegal killed a woman in her 80s and injured a man in his 80s.
