Cody Durden aimed to end a two-fight skid while Nascimento sought his fourth straight victory dating to 2022. Durden dominated the opening round with multiple right hands and heavy combinations while Nascimento relied on leg kicks and did not attempt a takedown. Early in round two Durden landed significant strikes and caused a nosebleed, but Nascimento connected with a massive elbow that sent Durden down and immediately transitioned to an Anaconda choke, forcing the submission at 3:13 of round two. The win marked Nascimento's 16th career submission.
