San Jose has not finalized a decision on whether to keep defenseman Sam Dickinson in the NHL past the nine-game threshold or return him to the London Knights of the OHL. Dickinson, 19, said he wants to stay, believes he can learn and is prepared to make the jump to the NHL full-time, while acknowledging the decision is out of his hands. Dickinson has dressed in eight NHL games since making the roster. General manager Mike Grier must decide soon. The Sharks face a challenging schedule and would likely be reluctant to scratch the 11th overall pick for several games. Coach Warsofsky noted Dickinson improved after being on the ice for a goal against.
