The 49ers added defensive ends Keion White and Clelin Ferrell to bolster a thin pass rush and replace injured linemen. White joined via trade from the New England Patriots and will not likely appear in practice until Thursday after the deal was finalized. White was a 2023 second-round pick who produced four sacks in the first two games last season but recorded only one more and was a healthy scratch this season after no sacks across 123 snaps. Ferrell returned after starting 17 games for the 49ers in 2023 and described an immediate sense of familiarity. The team is 5-3 and faces the Giants on Sunday.
