From July 4 to July 19 Rockefeller Center will serve as Manhattan's fan village for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Telemundo will be the exclusive Spanish-language channel for World Cup matches in the U.S. Liberty State Park will be another official fan festival site across the Hudson River. The ice-skating rink will be transformed into a soccer pitch for kickabouts between kickoffs, surrounded by viewing stations and two massive screens above the Prometheus fountain. Stalls and soccer games will be set up around the plaza and the Channel Gardens will be renamed Champions' Garden to exhibit the eight previous World Cup winners and stars from their victorious campaigns.
