Two Carabao Cup ties — Wrexham vs Cardiff and Newcastle vs Southampton — will be broadcast simultaneously on Sky Sports and ITV. Wrexham and Cardiff meet for the first time since 2002, and Newcastle aim to defend the Carabao Cup after ending a 70-year trophy drought. A broadcast agreement beginning in 2024/25 gives ITV rights to air ten EFL Cup games per season while Sky Sports retains coverage of every tie. ITV previously showed notable upsets and ties such as Grimsby's victory over Manchester United and Liverpool vs Southampton. The deal runs through 2026/27.
