Trump Media and Technology Group is launching a prediction market on Truth Social called Truth Predict via an exclusive partnership. Truth Predict will enable users to place and discuss prediction-market contracts within the social platform. Polymarket and Kalshi currently dominate the prediction-market space and allow users to bet on events ranging from elections to celebrity behavior. Prediction markets work by selling contracts where users bet against one another rather than against a house, and platforms generate revenue through fees on each contract sold. Prediction markets have grown in prominence around the 2024 presidential election and are increasingly referenced alongside polling data.
