At Friday's morning skate, it was revealed by head coach Craig Berube that Robertson will sit up in the press box of Keybank Arena and be out of the Leafs lineup for the very first time this season. In his place, rookie Easton Cowan will be coming back in to play bottom-six minutes as he tries to carve out a true place to start his professional career.
Robertson has appeared in all seven games for the Leafs so far this season, playing a consistent role in the team's bottom six with Scott Laughton out due to an injury suffered in the preseason. The 24-year-old forward has yet to find the back of the net this season, tallying only one assist, averaging 11 minutes played a night. In Robertson's place, top Leafs prospect Easton Cowan is slotting back into the lineup.
