CorSport: Pillars for the future - Milan want renewals of two defenders after Maignan's
"AC Milan are working on two further renewals after getting Mike Maignan to pen fresh terms, and they are for two pillars of the defence. As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) report this morning, Milan are not finished after Maignan's extension. The directors also want to tie Davide Bartesaghi and Fikayo Tomori down to new contracts for different reasons. The good news is that the Rossoneri appear to be on track to reach their desired outcome."
"For the left-back, it will be a reward for his accomplishments so far this season. Having begun as an alternative to Pervis Estupinan, he has now become a starter under Massimiliano Allegri. Back in May 2025, Milan renewed his contract until 2030 at around €600,000 net per season. now, with Premier League clubs circling, Igli Tare and co. are planning an extension by another year, with his pay more than tripled to around €2m."
AC Milan are pursuing contract extensions for Davide Bartesaghi and Fikayo Tomori after getting Mike Maignan to sign fresh terms. Bartesaghi has progressed from backup to starting left-back under Massimiliano Allegri and his contract, previously renewed in May 2025 until 2030 at about €600,000 net per season, is targeted for a one-year extension with salary rising to around €2m amid Premier League interest. Tomori's deal runs until June 2027 and negotiations are ongoing to extend him to June 2030 with his €3.5m net annual salary expected to remain unchanged. Renewals for Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are also under consideration.
