Arriva Netherlands will assume responsibility for bus services across multiple East Brabant municipalities from December 2026 under a new concession structured to meet provincial sustainability and quality requirements. The operator will introduce 167 new battery-electric buses—128 from Yutong and 39 from Irizar—supplemented by 83 existing electric buses supplied by VDL and Volvo to create an almost fully zero-emission regional operation. Irizar vehicles will serve urban routes in Tilburg (18-metre articulated) and 's-Hertogenbosch (12-metre), while Yutong deliveries include 44 higher-capacity 13- and 15-metre buses for Bravodirect corridors and 40 low-entry 12-metre buses for regional services. Thirty-two six-metre neighbourhood Sprinter-based buses with conventional powertrains will also be procured.
