"Sales of the iPhone hit an all-time high in the final three months of last year, tech firm Apple reported on Thursday. Revenue rose to $144bn (82.5bn) over the period thanks to a bump in sales in China, as well as Europe, the Americas, and Japan."
"However, sales in other segments of the company were less positive. Wearables and accessories, which include things like the Apple Watch and earbuds, fell roughly 3%."
"Sales of Mac computers fell by just over 7%."
Sales of the iPhone hit an all-time high in the final three months of last year. Revenue for the period rose to $144bn (82.5bn) driven by increased iPhone demand across China, Europe, the Americas, and Japan. Other product segments did not match that performance. Wearables and accessories, which include the Apple Watch and earbuds, fell roughly 3%. Mac computer sales declined by just over 7%. Strong iPhone results offset declines in peripherals and computers, producing overall revenue growth for the company in the quarter. Regional strength in China was especially notable and helped counter declines elsewhere.
