Apple's online store now lets you build a new Mac exactly the way you want

Apple updated the online Mac configurator so buyers manually select each specification in sequence instead of choosing from a few prebuilt models. The configurator lets customers pick color, display, chip, memory, storage, and even the power adapter while offering optional pre-installed apps such as Final Cut Pro or Logic Pro. The change increases customization options without drastically altering the purchase flow. Rumors indicate forthcoming MacBook Pro models could include M5 Pro and M5 Max chips with configurable CPU and GPU cores, with a possible release window aligned to macOS 26.3 between February and March.
