Anthropic brings agentic plugins to Cowork | TechCrunch
"tell Claude how you like work done, which tools and data to pull from, how to handle critical workflows, and what slash commands to expose so your team gets more consistent outcomes."
"Really, what we're doing with this launch is just bringing them to Cowork and giving them that kind of user friendly, UI-centric flavor that will allow the maximum number of people to use them, Piccolella said."
"easy to build, edit, and share"
Anthropic launched Cowork to extend Claude Code's agentic capabilities to non-coders and enterprise users, and introduced plugins to automate specialized departmental tasks. Plugins can automate marketing content drafting, legal document risk review, and customer support responses, while allowing teams to specify how Claude should perform tasks, which tools and data to access, how to handle critical workflows, and which slash commands to expose for consistent outcomes. Eleven in-house plugins were open-sourced, and custom plugins are easy to build, edit, and share for use without deep technical expertise. Plugins bring Claude Code functionality to Cowork's UI-centric environment.
