The meditation is about 20 minutes, then we invite them to explore the space. Touch the art that is open to being touched. There are sonic installations, videos, an altar they can interact with and leave something behind on."
By 2165, a 125-year wave of reparatory actions has transformed society into a place of healing where Black and Indigenous communities hold lasting opportunities for repair. Intelligent Mischief stages an immersive social dream space in Bushwick called Future of Repair, guided by public world-building sessions and six Afrofuturist artists envisioning 2165 Earth. Guests receive one of six tea blends tied to world-building themes, participate in a roughly 20-minute guided meditation, and then explore interactive works. Installations include touchable art, sonic pieces, videos, and an altar for leaving offerings. The environment prioritizes embodiment, sustained engagement, and participatory healing.
