Jeremy Corbyn, 76, co-founder and leader of Your Party, will star as the Wizard of Oz-lington in Wicked Witches: A Popular Panto at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington. The production features queer performers including Gigi Zahir (Crayola) as Adelphaba and Eleanor Burker (Apple Derrieres) as Kelly Oz-Born, with Lew Ray and Ro Suppa as Tin 2.0 and Dor. Corbyn praised the Pleasance for 30 years of community work and called panto fun, inclusive and a celebration of creativity. Pleasance head Ellie Simpson said his involvement adds a touch of local sparkle, and organisers noted boos and cheers are part of panto fun.
