The first rest day of the 2025 Tour de France follows an action-packed start with 10 stages completed. The yellow jersey changed hands twice, highlighting the tension between Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard. Stage 6 featured winner Ben Healy, who outperformed competitors over a long ride, showcasing both brute force and tactical finesse. Healy's remarkable breakaway and late attack allowed him to win decisively by nearly three minutes, confirming his status as a strong competitor early in the race.
Stage 6 tipped the scales a shade over 200 kilometres long, but the winner Ben Healy spent less than half of it in the day's successful breakaway.
Healy, as we've come to expect, made no secret of his desire to get up the road early on, attacking relentlessly as the breakaway struggled to form.
Crossing the line nearly three minutes clear was a good sign, showing Healy's dominance towards the end of Stage 6.
Since the last photo-gallery recapping the best of the action over the first five days, the subsequent five have delivered their share of thrills and spills.
