Tom Ritchey, a pivotal figure in mountain biking and motorcycle design, is writing a memoir, "One Ride From Figuring It Out". Using extensive archives, Ritchey recounts the origins of the sport and his innovative developments in bicycle design. Supported by a successful Kickstarter campaign, the hardcover book will include insights, illustrations, and historical photographs. Ritchey began his journey in cycling at a young age and became influential in defining modern mountain biking, having founded Ritchey Design at just sixteen. Special signed editions are available for early backers.
"The bike is just a cornerstone for a much bigger life," Ritchey says in his promo video.
"After more than fifty years, he is a legend in the industry and remains the sole product developer at Ritchey Design, the company he founded at the age of sixteen."
