Joan Baez to join Bay Area No Kings' protests against Trump
Briefly

Joan Baez, the iconic folk singer and political activist, will speak and potentially sing at the No Kings protest against President Trump in Palo Alto, her hometown where she first engaged in civil disobedience at age 17. At 83, Baez critiques the decline of civil rights and the Constitution since her rise to fame, expressing concern over America's direction. The protest, organized by Indivisible, aims to oppose perceived authoritarianism under Trump, with various events staged throughout the Bay Area, highlighting societal dissatisfaction and the need for activism.
