Briefly

PlayMonster has acquired the rights to Taco vs. Burrito, a game invented by 7-year-old Alex Butler, which has sold over 1.5 million copies since its launch. The game made $1.1 million in sales by the end of 2018 and has two expansion packs. Alex expressed indifference towards the sale, stating he was not attached to the game and just wanted to maximize his earnings. With parental support and an online fundraiser, Alex successfully brought the game to market on Amazon, where it quickly gained popularity. PlayMonster intends to further develop the game, including a collector's tin edition.
Alex Butler, the creator of Taco vs. Burrito, stated, "It was never something that I've been attached to or anything. It's not super important to me."
The game, which retails for $20 on Amazon, has sold 1.5 million copies to date and has two expansion packs.
With the help of his parents, Alex launched the game after they encouraged his entrepreneurial spirit, even running a fundraiser that raised $25,000 for production costs.
PlayMonster plans to continue expanding Taco vs. Burrito, including a collector's tin version set to be released later this year.
