Trader Joe's will open a new West Roxbury store at 1999 Centre St. this Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:55 a.m. More than 80 employees were hired from surrounding areas and transferred from other Trader Joe's locations to staff the new store. The new location will donate 100 percent of unsold products seven days a week to non-profit, community-based organizations through the company's neighborhood shares program. The West Roxbury site replaces a Walgreens that closed in November 2024 and marks Trader Joe's fourth Boston location, joining two in Bay Bay and one in the Seaport.
