"The Stores tab is not to be confused with the 'Nearby' filter (which is confusing simply because it shows options that are not geographically nearby, such as eBay). The Nearby filter in Google Shopping adds the word 'nearby' to the query automatically and produces a new set of results."
"This set of results shows a per-product format with various buying options per product when clicked on (when available)."
Google Shopping has added a new 'Stores' tab to its interface, a feature recently spotted and confirmed by multiple SEO professionals. This tab differs from the existing 'Nearby' filter, which automatically adds 'nearby' to search queries and shows results that may not be geographically close, such as eBay. The new Stores tab presents results in a per-product format, allowing users to view various buying options for each product when clicked. Accessing this tab can be done through the 'More places' button at the bottom of initial search results, which redirects users to the Places tab in the main search navigation bar.
