A 26-year-old man was arrested Monday after threatening another passenger with a gun aboard an MBTA bus on Meridian Street in East Boston. The suspect was carrying a .40-caliber Beretta, which he removed from his waistband and used to threaten the other passenger at approximately 6 p.m. According to MBTA Transit Police, the man had a prior conviction for illegal firearm possession. Following his arrest, he was transported to Transit Police Department headquarters for booking and processing.
