David Pastrnak joins Bruins' camp for first time this season
""Listen, I played with it the whole year last year so I wouldn't be too worried about it," said Pastrnak. "I spent a lot of time in the summer to make it better and it did get much better than it was last year. Obviously, it wasn't perfect and it's not perfect yet so it was perfect timing to try to get it even better. Nothing too concerning, it's just something that was nagging me for a very long time.""
""I don't know. We did it the whole year last year....it's something where time will tell," said Pastrnak."
David Pastrnak missed the first half-week of Bruins training camp with knee tendinitis that dates back to last season. He emphasized offseason biking over running to address the issue and said that approach helped significantly. Pastrnak acknowledged improvement but confirmed the condition is not yet perfect and required extra time away from camp. Durability historically has not been a problem; he played all 82 games for three straight seasons and finished with 43-63-106 last year after a slow start. With Brad Marchand gone, Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy will wear the A's and carry increased leadership responsibility in the absence of a captain.
