Casey Alexander has been hired as Kansas State's next men's basketball coach, replacing Jerome Tang. Alexander spent seven seasons at Belmont, leading the Bruins to the Missouri Valley regular-season title this season with 26 wins. He achieved 10 consecutive seasons of at least 20 wins and compiled a 166-60 record at Belmont with three regular-season championships. Previously, Alexander coached at Lipscomb for six seasons, winning a regular-season title and reaching the NCAA tournament in 2018, and spent two seasons at Stetson. At Belmont, he transitioned the program from the Ohio Valley to the Missouri Valley Conference. Some of his current players with remaining eligibility may follow him to Kansas State.
