The move followed Caissie's recent recall and the prior optioning of Alcantara. Caissie could finish 2025 with only 12 games and 27 plate appearances in the majors after showing strong production at Triple-A Iowa (.286/.386/.551, 22 homers, 28 doubles in 99 games). Alcantara has appeared in three major-league games this year and is expected to serve primarily as a bench option while other outfielders deal with availability issues.
