"For an old-house lover or preservationist, the recent renovation of one of Brooklyn Heights' oldest houses, now on the market, is heartbreaking. While the exterior of the circa 1820s wood frame at 24 Middagh Street has been beautifully restored, per the Landmarks Preservation Commission requirements, the rare almost fully intact historic interior has been gutted and reconfigured so that, apart from one or two mantels, it is unrecognizable."
"An affordable housing lottery has opened for a recently completed eight-story development on East New York's Fulton Street, in a section of the neighborhood that was rezoned in 2016 and has seen a wave of new development. The new building, which has a total of 51 apartments, sits on the corner of the major thoroughfare and Van Siclen Avenue on what has long been a vacant grassy lot."

A separate lottery opened for a recently completed eight-story East New York building on Fulton Street offering 51 apartments at the corner of Fulton and Van Siclen Avenue, with some two-bedroom units listed at $1,099. Open houses ranged from $725,000 to $3.8 million across neighborhoods including Prospect Park South and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
