Rescue Company 2 in Crown Heights held a 24th-anniversary memorial to honor seven company firefighters who died during the September 11, 2001 attacks. Members of the 38th Battalion and representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps, the Paris Fire Brigade, and the Boston Fire Department attended the ceremony. The service included reading the names of Lieutenant Peter Martin and firefighters William Lake, Daniel Libretti, John Napolitano, Lincoln Quappe, Kevin O'Rourke, and Edward Rall. Captain Liam Flaherty addressed attendees, thanked everyone for coming, and emphasized the FDNY's commitment to never forget. Attendees bowed their heads in prayer and stood shoulder to shoulder during the service.
