The mobile carrier's chief operating officer, Srini Gopalan, will become CEO on November 1st, while Sievert will become vice chairman. While at the helm, Sievert has overseen many acquisitions, including T-Mobile's purchase of Mint Mobile, which was partially owned by Ryan Reynolds, as well as its agreement to buy most of US Cellular."

Mike Sievert will move to vice chairman as Srini Gopalan succeeds him as T-Mobile CEO on November 1st. T-Mobile removed diversity, equity, and inclusivity policies earlier this year to secure FCC approval for a Lumos fiber acquisition. Gopalan became COO in March 2025 and has board and executive experience at Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, and Bharti Airtel. Gopalan will lead a strategic push to make T-Mobile more data-driven, AI-enabled, and digital-first while emphasizing customer-centric culture and network strength.
