You have days left to claim your AT&T data breach settlement of up to $7,500 - here's how
"If you're a current or former AT&T customer, the deadline to file a claim to be part of the $177 million class-action settlement over two major data breaches is just days away. The breaches -- one tied to data dating back to 2019 and a second disclosed in 2024 involving customer call and text records from 2022 -- exposed Social Security numbers, call and text records, names, addresses, dates of birth, and more."
"If you file a claim, you could receive up to $5,000 from the first fund (called AT&T 1 Settlement Class) and $2,500 from the second (AT&T 2 Settlement Class) -- so dual-breach victims might get as much as $7,500. Your exact payout will depend on how many people apply, but higher payments will be reserved for those who can prove any out-of-pocket damages. You'll need to submit documentation that's "fairly traceable" when you file a claim to be eligible for that higher payout."
Two major AT&T data breaches exposed customer personal information, including Social Security numbers, names, addresses, dates of birth, and call and text records from 2022. Two settlement funds total $177 million: $149 million for the breach tied to data dating back to 2019 and $28 million for call and text logs exposed in the 2024 Snowflake hack. Eligible current and former customers can file claims online or by mail to receive up to $5,000 from the first fund and $2,500 from the second, potentially totaling $7,500. Payouts depend on claim volume and documented out-of-pocket losses. Kroll Settlement Administration manages the claims process. Claim deadline is Dec. 18, 2025.
