A twin-engine Beechcraft 95-B55 Baron plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean off Point Pinos, Pacific Grove, late Saturday night. It departed from San Carlos Airport and was heading to Monterey Regional Airport. Emergency services were notified after radar contact was lost and local residents reported hearing loud engine noises followed by a splash. All three passengers were later recovered deceased. The flight was registered to a Delaware company and had a prior flight from Monterey to San Carlos. An investigation will be conducted by the National Transportation Safety Board.

Recovery was completed Sunday morning as authorities launched an investigation into the cause. The crash site was near Sunset Drive and Jewell Avenue, close to the historic Point Pinos Lighthouse.
