
"FREMONT A 44-year-old woman was killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 880, the California Highway Patrol said. She was identified by the coroner's bureau as Belem Rodriguez Aguilar of Oakland. The crash happened about 12:58 a.m. Tuesday on northbound I-880 north of South Fremont Boulevard. The CHP said Rodriguez Aguilar was driving alone when for an unknown reason her vehicle left the roadway."
"The CHP said Rodriguez Aguilar was driving alone when for an unknown reason her vehicle left the roadway, hit some 70 feet of chain link fence and some poles before going down an embankment and landing in a small creek that had at least three feet of water. She had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and was pronounced deceased at the scene."
Belem Rodriguez Aguilar, 44, of Oakland died in a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 880 in Fremont at about 12:58 a.m. Tuesday. Her vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason, struck approximately 70 feet of chain link fence and some poles, then went down an embankment and landed in a small creek with at least three feet of water. Firefighters extricated her from the vehicle, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
