
"Eight people have been arrested for allegedly accepting bribes for commercial driver examinations in Kingston and the Greater Toronto Area, said the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Investigators discovered bribes were used to gain favourable consideration during road examinations for the commercial Class A license at certain locations, said the OPP in a news release. The investigation into fraudulent commercial driver exams was prompted last January at the request of the Ministry of Transportation, they said."
"A total of 24 charges, such as money laundering and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, were laid against eight individuals, including: A 58-year-old man from Brampton. A 40-year-old man from Brampton. A 36 year-old man from Brampton. A 36-year-old man from Oshawa. A 55-year-old man from Georgetown. A 43-year-old man from North York. A 54-year-old man from Kingston. A 34-year-old man from Caledon."

The accused include men from Brampton, Oshawa, Georgetown, North York, Kingston and Caledon. The men were scheduled to appear in court. Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
