Governor Maura Healey signed a law overhauling the Cannabis Control Commission, restructuring the agency and increasing the legal purchase limit to two ounces. The reforms address challenges in the Massachusetts cannabis industry, including price drops and regulatory uncertainty. The bill, effective immediately, reduces the number of commissioners from five to three and raises the cap on business licenses from three to six. New license categories will also be authorized to support industry growth and transition.
