Castrosua to unveil a BEV coach at Busworld (with Volvo chassis) - Sustainable Bus
"Spanish bodybuilder Castrosua is preparing to unveil its first battery-electric coach. The premiere will take place at Busworld Europe 2025, where the group will also display vehicles for the urban, commuter and long-distance markets - all in electric versions. At Busworld, the company is also going to launch an articulated e-bus model with BYD. In the intercity segment, Castrosua is offering in Spain a product on Scania's chassis."
"The new coach, according to the information shared by Castrosua, has been developed on the Volvo BZR chassis, a platform launched in early 2024. Castrosua has announced, however, that the forthcoming coach series will be adaptable to all propulsion types, not just electric. Full details will remain under wraps until the official reveal in Brussels. The bodybuilder had signed a deal with Volvo in 2023 aimed at the joint commercialization of e-buses on the local market."
