Nicolas Jackson's future with Chelsea remains uncertain as he has attracted interest from Newcastle during the transfer window. After struggling for minutes at the Club World Cup following a red card, Jackson did not participate in the final match. The Senegalese forward has scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists in 65 Premier League matches, averaging a goal every 210 minutes. Enzo Maresca noted that while two new strikers have joined Chelsea, anything can happen regarding transfers. Additionally, Levi Colwill suffered an injury in training, and his recovery status is currently unclear.
"When the transfer window is open, unfortunately or fortunately, anything can happen. This also involves Nico's situation," said Maresca.
Jackson has scored 24 goals and registered 10 assists in 65 Premier League matches, averaging a goal every 210 minutes with a conversion rate of 15.4%.
Maresca noted the arrival of two strikers, Joao [Pedro] and Liam [Delap], and mentioned the uncertainties surrounding Jackson's future.
"It was in the first session on Monday, just in the last minutes of the session. He [Colwill] felt something and, as I said, we need to wait, and then we see," Maresca added.
