Frustrated Andrews fumes at Brentfords second-half display in draw with Wolves - Soccer News
"Yeah, very frustrated. The first half I thought we played well. I thought we could've been more clinical in moments of decision-making. We had to make more of what was a pretty controlled half, although they had moments. They're always going to cause that because they're a well-organised team filled with really talented individuals and in the second half we didn't have control."
"Even when it was in transitional moments and phases, we didn't look in control at any stage really. We were huffing and puffing. I didn't like the second half."
Brentford drew 2-2 with Wolves after surrendering a two-goal advantage. Michael Kayode and Igor Thiago scored in the first half to give Brentford control at Gtech Community Stadium. Adam Armstrong pulled one back before halftime, and Tolu Arokodare equalized with a header. Both teams had late chances to win, with Arokodare hitting the crossbar and Reiss Nelson heading wide. Brentford's performance deteriorated significantly after the break, registering only 0.23 xG from three shots compared to 2.33 xG from seven first-half attempts. This marked the first time in 37 games Brentford failed to win after leading by two goals, with their last such occurrence in December 2022 against Tottenham.
