"I'm really happy and over the moon to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. It's been my club since I was young. I can't wait to make more memories, hopefully have more success and win more trophies with this amazing club."
"It's not been an easy journey for either of us. It's taken a lot of hard work and sacrifices for us to get to this point, and we're very grateful that we are here now, and we are extending our stay."
Lauren James has extended her contract with Chelsea until 2030, expanding her previous deal by four years. The 24-year-old forward rejoined Chelsea in 2021 after three years at Manchester United, following her youth career at the club. Since her return, James has contributed 31 goals in 105 appearances and helped Chelsea win four Women's Super League titles and three FA Cups. Recent injuries limited her to 17 games during Chelsea's domestic treble-winning season. James expressed happiness about remaining at the club and continuing to build success. Her brother Reece also recently signed a new contract with Chelsea's men's team.
