Notre Dame's Carr, Minchey to vie for top QB
Briefly

Notre Dame's quarterback competition continues into the summer as freshman CJ Carr and sophomore Kenny Minchey seek to take the starting position following Steve Angeli's departure via the transfer portal. Despite Angeli's experience as the primary backup for the last two seasons, his exit alters the dynamics of the competition. Coach Marcus Freeman noted both Carr and Minchey have shown significant improvement during spring practice, though limited practice time hindered full evaluation. The goal was to reduce the candidate pool for the upcoming summer battle, allowing for a competitive selection process.
