Source: Gardner Minshew, Cardinals agree to 1-year deal
"Former Chiefs quarterback Gardner Minshew reached an agreement Monday on a one-year, $8.25 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Minshew will back up Jacoby Brissett on the team's depth chart. Minshew, 29, spent the past season as the Chiefs' backup to Patrick Mahomes. He played in four games, including a start in December against the Tennessee Titans after Mahomes had suffered a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee."
"Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne reached agreement on a two-year, $11.47 million deal with a max value of $16.47 million, his agents told Schefter. Bourne, 30, arrived for a second stint with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 last season after injuries hit the team's receiver room. That signing paid instant dividends as Bourne had the two best games of his career, combining for 15 catches and 284 yards in Weeks 5 and 6."
"The Cardinals also agreed to a three-year, $31.5 million contract with free agent guard Isaac Seumalo, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Seumalo, 32, has been a consistent starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Earlier Monday, the team also agreed to a contract with running back Tyler Allgeier."
The Arizona Cardinals made multiple offensive acquisitions on Monday. Gardner Minshew agreed to a one-year, $8.25 million deal to serve as backup to Jacoby Brissett. The 29-year-old spent last season with the Kansas City Chiefs and previously earned Pro Bowl honors with the Indianapolis Colts in 2023. Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne signed a two-year deal worth $11.47 million with potential value reaching $16.47 million. Bourne, 30, recently completed a productive stint with the San Francisco 49ers. Guard Isaac Seumalo joined on a three-year, $31.5 million contract. The Cardinals also agreed to terms with running back Tyler Allgeier, rounding out their offensive improvements.
