Rizzo retired in September and officially joined the Cubs as an ambassador, including spending a game in the Wrigley Field bleachers. Rizzo's future role with the Cubs remains unclear. Rizzo was a fan favorite during his 14-year career and frequently showed a playful personality in the dugout and on the field. He once struck out Freddie Freeman with a 61 mph pitch. Kershaw will bring long-term pitching expertise to NBC's analysis.
