Bryan Hudson, at 6-foot-8, is the tallest player on the White Sox roster and was recently claimed off waivers from the Brewers. This season, Hudson has a 0-1 record with a 4.35 ERA but previously excelled with a 6-1 record and 1.73 ERA last year. Manager Will Venable highlighted Hudson's impactful arm and unique arm angles. Infielder Chase Meidroth continues to be sidelined with a thumb injury, missing his fourth straight start, although he remains a defensive option when needed.
Hudson is a big lefty, with a lot of long limbs kind of flailing at you, so that's just how it's gonna be every time.
Coming off a really good last year, I just tried to get back up and comfortable in the big leagues to compete and stay here.
Manager Will Venable praised Hudson's unique arm angles. Just a really impactful arm for us that we can use in different ways.
Still day-to-day as far as the swing goes, but obviously we're comfortable with him out there in the field.
