Esquire aimed to translate its blend of wit, authenticity, and entertainment into a physically engaging cocktail experience. The initiative sought to connect readers in an increasingly hands-free, digitalized world by encouraging shared, in-person moments at a bar. The project partnered with Sip & Guzzle, a Greenwich Village bar recognized as Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar at the 2025 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and ranked 39th on The World's 50 Best list. Sip & Guzzle's founders Steve Schneider and Shingo Gokan brought a long-standing collaboration and a history of blending different cultures and cocktail styles into the concept.
