'Friends' Stars Reunite In Dunkin's Hilarious Super Bowl Commercial
"For its latest Super Bowl commercial, Dunkin' is bringing it back to 1995. During Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8, the coffee brand debuted an ad in the style of a lost-footage tape of a "much better version of Good Will Hunting" - a sitcom called Good Will Dunkin' starring "a real genius in the lead." Because this is Dunkin', that genius is Ben Affleck, spoofing the lead role originally played by his bestie and writing partner Matt Damon."
"At one point, Affleck (er, Will) tries out his best Joey Tribbiani-inspired "How you doin'?" But when Ribeiro shows him a throwback picture of Jennifer Aniston, he proves himself more of a Ross, crying, "We're on a break!" Moments later, Aniston herself knocks on the window in a Rachel Green-approved overall ensemble. "You like donuts? Well, this is my new boyfriend," she says, pulling Tom Brady into frame. "How ya like these nuts?""
Dunkin' debuted a 1995-style Super Bowl ad presented as a lost-footage sitcom called Good Will Dunkin', featuring Ben Affleck spoofing a genius role originally played by Matt Damon. The spot uses a laugh track and shows Affleck's character arranging Munchkins in a Fibonacci sequence while working at a Dunkin' shop. Jason Alexander, Ted Danson, Jasmine Guy, Matt LeBlanc, Alfonso Ribeiro, and Jaleel White appear as coworkers and patrons. Affleck attempts a Joey-esque "How you doin'?" and later cries "We're on a break!" when shown a throwback picture of Jennifer Aniston. Aniston appears with Tom Brady for a closing cameo, and viewers reacted enthusiastically online, praising the cast and production.
