He defeated last year's champion, Patrick Bertolette, by 25 hot dogs. Chestnut had a one-year ban from the competition due to a partnership with Impossible Foods. Although he fell short of his personal record of 76 hot dogs, he aimed to surpass 80 this year. Miki Sudo won the women’s division by eating 33 hot dogs in 10 minutes. The contest has been hosted at Coney Island since 1972.

Chestnut won the event for the 17th time with a tally of 70 (and a half) hot dogs, beating runner-up Patrick Bertolette by 25 dogs.
Chestnut's victory comes after his one-year ban from the contest, as he was previously partnered with Nathan's competitor Impossible Foods.
Eleven-time women's champ Miki Sudo also won that division again today, eating 33 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
