Ex-Bengals, Cowboys LB Logan Wilson retires at 29
"After a lot of thought and prayer, I've decided to officially retire from the NFL. From being a Wyoming kid with big dreams to hearing my name called in the 3rd round of the 2020 Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals... football gave me more than I ever could have imagined."
"That 2021 playoff run was something special -- the interception in Tennessee to send us to the AFC Championship, beating Kansas City to win the AFC, and taking the field in the Super Bowl. Those moments and that locker room are something I'll carry with me forever. And the best part of all, my daughter was born there."
Logan Wilson, a 29-year-old linebacker, announced his retirement from the NFL after playing parts of five seasons. Originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of 2020, Wilson became a key defensive contributor, starting 65 games and recording 541 tackles and 11 interceptions. He played a significant role in the Bengals' 2021 playoff run to Super Bowl LVI, including a crucial interception against Tennessee. After being benched during the 2024 season in favor of rookie Barrett Carter, Wilson was traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a seventh-round pick. He appeared in seven games for Dallas with limited impact before being released in February. Wilson cited prayer and reflection in his decision to retire.
