An Arkansas dachshund named Whiskey was rescued by a drone after being missing for three days. Chris Laughlin, owner of Natural State Drone Solutions, utilized thermal imaging drones to search for the pet. After searching for four hours, he found Whiskey among brush, where a coyote had grabbed him. Laughlin used prop wash from the drone to scare away the coyote and save Whiskey. The Allens expressed immense gratitude, stating the drone was essential for the rescue and that Laughlin became part of their family. Drone technology is expanding into pet rescues and other services.

After four hours of searching in the wooded area, Laughlin found Whiskey, who appeared to be stuck among the brush for three days, and quickly scared off a coyote preparing to attack.
Using the wind created by the drone's propellers, Laughlin successfully frightened away the coyote that had Whiskey in its mouth, saving the dog's life.
The Allens expressed their gratitude, stating they wouldn't have found Whiskey without the drone, and that Laughlin became an important part of their family.
