BAMPFA offers free gallery admission on first Thursdays, with general admission usually $18 and free entry for UC Berkeley students and SNAP participants. Kala Art Institute displays six curated exhibitions annually and is open weekday afternoons and Saturday; Berkeley Art Center in Live Oak Park exhibits Bay Area contemporary artists and is open Thursday through Sunday. The David Brower Center dedicates two floors to environmental art and rotates exhibitions three times yearly. The Magnes Collection of Jewish Life and Art operates during UC semesters.
